By accessing or using the Coast Map Labs website at coastmaps.co (the "Site"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the Site.

These Terms apply to all visitors, users, and others who access or use the Site, including those who submit contact forms, quote requests, or newsletter subscriptions.

Coast Map Labs provides geoscience consulting services and mapping products through this website. Our offerings include:

• Geoscience consulting services (program design, program management, stakeholder engagement, utility asset management, precision agriculture, trail design, enterprise integration)
• Map products including coffee and wine region maps, Holy Lands historical cartography, environmental and community mapping products
• Custom mapping services tailored to client specifications
• Informational content, insights, and thought leadership articles

The Site is used to present our services and facilitate initial contact. Actual service agreements are governed by separate written contracts between Coast Map Labs and each client.

All content on this Site — including text, images, maps, graphics, logos, icons, audio clips, and software — is the property of Coast Map Labs or its content suppliers and is protected by United States and international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

You may view, download, and print content from the Site for your personal, non-commercial use only, provided that you:

• Do not modify or alter the content
• Retain all copyright and proprietary notices
• Do not use the content for commercial purposes without written permission

The Coast Map Labs name, logo, and all related marks are trademarks of Coast Map Labs. You may not use these marks without our prior written consent.

Map products purchased from Coast Map Labs are licensed, not sold. Unless otherwise specified in a written agreement, the following terms apply:

• Personal/single-use license: You may display and use the map for personal or internal business purposes.
• Commercial license: Required for use in products for sale, advertising, or public distribution. Contact us for commercial licensing terms.
• Reproduction: You may not reproduce, redistribute, or sublicense map products without written permission.
• Attribution: Where required by license, you must credit "© Coast Map Labs / coastmaps.co".

Custom map products are subject to the specific terms outlined in the project agreement.

You agree not to use the Site to:

• Violate any applicable law or regulation
• Submit false, misleading, or fraudulent information
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Site or its related systems
• Transmit spam, malware, or other harmful content
• Scrape, crawl, or systematically extract data from the Site without written permission
• Impersonate Coast Map Labs or any of its employees or representatives
• Interfere with the proper functioning of the Site

When you submit a contact form, quote request, or newsletter signup, you represent that:

• The information you provide is accurate and complete
• You have the authority to submit the information on behalf of any organization named
• You consent to us using your information to respond to your inquiry as described in our Privacy Policy

Submitting a quote request does not create a binding contract. All engagements are subject to a separate written agreement.

Newsletter subscriptions may be cancelled at any time by contacting us at [email protected].

THE SITE AND ITS CONTENT ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT.

Coast Map Labs does not warrant that:

• The Site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure
• Any information on the Site is complete, accurate, or current
• The Site is free of viruses or other harmful components

Informational content on the Site, including Insights articles, is provided for general educational purposes only and does not constitute professional geoscience, legal, or engineering advice.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, COAST MAP LABS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE SITE, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.

In no event shall Coast Map Labs's total liability to you for all claims arising from your use of the Site exceed one hundred dollars ($100).

Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties or limitation of liability, so some of the above limitations may not apply to you.

The Site may contain links to third-party websites. These links are provided for convenience only. Coast Map Labs does not endorse, control, or assume responsibility for the content, privacy practices, or terms of any third-party websites. Your use of third-party websites is at your own risk and subject to their terms.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

Any dispute arising from these Terms or your use of the Site shall first be addressed through good-faith negotiation. If unresolved, disputes shall be submitted to binding arbitration in Sonoma County, California, under the rules of the American Arbitration Association.

You waive any right to participate in a class action lawsuit or class-wide arbitration.

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will post the updated Terms on this page with a revised effective date. Your continued use of the Site after any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

For material changes, we will provide prominent notice on the Site.
